The snapshot’s been taken, the filter’s been found, the collage created, and the motif uploaded to MyPostcard to send. Two to three days later, your postcard lands in the recipient’s mailbox. But what happens en route is a bit like a little black box, the contents unknown.

That’s why today we want to give you a glimpse behind the scenes and show you how your MyPostcard makes its way from smartphone to mailbox. As we said, you take the photo and upload it – either using the App (available in the App Store and on Google play) or our website. All you need to do now is add your personal greeting and recipient, and as soon as you hit “Send” and click on the payment confirmation, the postcard is uploaded to our server and printed automatically.

Here, you can see the photo sheets being printed; there are eight postcards on each sheet.

The sheets are then covered with a gloss film to give the cards a high-quality finish.

Hiya, I’m Maud. I’m an English girl who's moved to Berlin - because who wouldn’t fall in love with a country which has words like ‘Kummerspeck’ hidden around every corner... I love traveling and finding out the quirks of each country - and what better way to remember them than on a postcard?
