You travel often and been to many amazing destinations? I am sure that you always have a camera or your smartphone you and took stunning photos. Don’t waste your photos by forgetting them on your phone – print and hang them up! What about a beautiful retro world travel map with pins?
All you need is a world map, pins, some cardboard, ribbon, glue and your printed photos. Let’s go!
World travel map with pins – Step 1
Crafting the pendant..
First you have to cut out the pendants in the right form and size. Just check the size of your photos to find out how big your pendants need to be.
Place your photos on the cardboard a leave about 1cm space between the photo and the edges. On the upper side of the photo you need to leave a little more space for the suspension hole.
Whats your favourite style? If you want you can draw some shapes around your photos. Appropriate to our travel issues the pendants looks like a luggage tag. For some more inspirations check this out.
Cut out the pendants, glue the photos on them and your almost done!

..aaand fixing
Creating the suspension is as easy as counting till 3. Grab a hole puncher and place the hole in the middle of the bigger top part of the pendant. Afterwards grab your ribbon and floss it through the hole. The length of the ribbon depends on the size of your world map.
Hang up your world map on the wall and pin the pins on the destinations where you’ve been to. To make your DIY a little more inspiring and personal you can write notes with some memories on the back of the pendantans.
