MyPostcard was one of the sponsors of the Rotary International Convention 2018 in Toronto, in order to introduce MyPostcard’s solutions for charities. It is a worldwide conference to bring Rotarians and organizations together to advance the fight against polio and spread the word about Rotary’s impact in many other humanitarian projects.
What is Rotary?
Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. It brings together people in order to provide humanitarian services and advance peace around the world.
The 109th annual international Rotary convention took place in the City of Toronto, with about 25,000 Rotarians from 175 countries attending. The global network of Rotary volunteers gathered to exchange ideas on how to improve lives and bring positive, lasting change to communities around the world. Registrants engaged in workshops and heard from a lineup of world-class speakers, including Justin Trudeau, prime minister of Canada, Caryl Stern, president and CEO of UNICEF and Rotary president Ian Riseley.
The convention also showcased hundreds of humanitarian projects from Rotary Club members around the world, in order to learn about projects others are doing. The signature project of the event is called PolioPlus, a campaign to end polio around the world.
MyPostcard was one of the sponsors of the convention and supports this campaign – we are only “this close” to ending polio for good!
Amongst others, Entrepreneur Jim Marggraff, Chief Strategy Officer Rotary International Tom Thorfinnson, and the MyPostcard team met at the MyPostcard booth to discuss future opportunities on how to achieve impact with postcards.
MyPostcard’s printing partner GSB Digital
Trade shows can be competitive and heavily saturated, but they are also a great way for a business to be seen and show what they stand for. That is why – for this special occasion in Toronto – MyPostcard teamed up with one of its USA printing partners GSB Digital.
From the beginning on GSB Digital understood the importance of standing out and printed the vibrant high-quality backdrop display as well as other key signage for the event. The colorful display presented a collage of motivational cards and showcased our message “Big things have small beginnings”.
GSB Digital’s staff, customer service as well as unique technologies worked together to provide the quality prints, allowing the message to be shared in an impactful way. We are glad to work with not only a print provider but even better a full-service print communication source!
Social Commitment at MyPostcard
We started MyPostcard to give people the opportunity to hold on to and share their most important moments with the people they love. And not just digitally – but something to keep and cherish for a long time. Pretty soon we realized how our products and reach could also be used to support positive ideas and social causes. Having a powerful tool at hand to streamline the postcard sending process, we want to give back. We support charities to help make an impact and want to make a difference with postcards by providing a unique cost price rate for charities or social causes. Find out more here.
