The Project

We started MyPostcard to give people the opportunity to share their most important moments with the people they love. We soon realized how our products and their reach could be used to support positive ideas and social causes.

The Rotary E-Club of Wallstreet’s Haiti Education Initiative is the newest project we support.

100% of each donation goes directly to the cause*. As a Thank You each donor will receive a personalized thank you postcard as well as has the option to send three additional free postcards to a friend, relative or partner and help to spread the message.

At the completion of your order, please register an account or enter your email address to receive promo codes for your three free postcards and more information about the thank you card in January, via email.

For those who donate more than 50 EUR, the students of ECLUJE primary school prepared a special video postcard for you.

The beginning

Today, nearly half of Haiti’s population is illiterate, and only 1 in 20 will ever graduate high school. In 2010, Fresly Toussaint, a Port-au-Prince native, took action to change his community to provide a better future for the generations to come and he founded ECLUJE primary school (Ecole Communautaire Lumière de Jésus). In 2019 the Rotary E-Club of Wall Street helped take the next step and financed the construction of a new school building.

The School

ECLUJE primary school (Ecole Communautaire Lumière de Jésus), located in a working-class neighborhood in Port-au-Prince, is offering tuition free education to the most vulnerable of the community, teaching from 1st to 6th grade. - Besides regular school operation, ECLUJE primary school offers evening classes for illiterate adults as well as frequently organizes community events like the drawing competition, creating the MyPostcard Collection on this page.

Our Goals

Already considered the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, the island nation of Haiti faced multiple calamities in 2021. In addition to the Covid Pandemic, the country’s south was struck by a powerful earthquake and the assasination of its President Jovenel Moise put the country into a economical downwards spiral.

Due to the economical crisis, we want to relieve parents from their existing duties of providing a school uniform and school material for their children as well as continue to invest in the school building and operation to elevate the quality of education we can provide.

Art Competition

In November 2021 ECLUJE primary school hosted a painting competition at eight schools on the subject of "Ayiti Pam M nan (My Haiti…)" where students were asked to draw their vision of Haiti.

Seen through the eyes of young people the images in this collection are a testament to the aspirational spirit of youth, pride of country and visions for a hope-filled future.

We see bustling, cheerful towns, busy colorful villages, with churches, schools, hospitals, roads. Other drawings show a deep pride of the country’s struggle for independence with images of the nation's founding father Toussaint Louverture.
